March Break is going to be here in no time! If you are thinking of doing something with the family over the break, here are a couple of ideas of what is offered around Cambridge.
Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory
Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory is home to many different butterflies, birds, and plants. Guests can take a walk around the conservatory to see all of the exotic creatures! Over the March Break, the conservatory is hosting a Southwest-themed bug exhibit! Prepared to be tempted with three bug-tastic treats – you can try tortilla chips with queso and roasted ants, whole roasted BBQ crickets, and scorpion dulce de leche fudge. Samples are free with paid admission!
Cambridge Ice Centre
The Cambridge Ice Centre is hosting their annual Carnival Day on Wednesday, March 13. At the event there will be free public skates throughout the day from 10:40 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2:10 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., along with the free skating there will be entertainment and more!
Over the March Break, Idea Exchange is hosting a bunch of free family-friendly events at all their locations. Some of the events include Wild Ontario, where guests can get up close and personal with Wild Ontario’s feathered friends, and Pawley’s Reptile Show where you can learn about a variety of captive bred reptiles including bearded dragons, spiny-tailed lizards, geckos, snakes, and scorpions. This is just scratching the surface for what IdeaExchange has to offer! Visit http://www.ideaexchange.org/programs for a full list of events and locations.
